Media briefing: Chilean geologist and mgm casino psychologist to discuss rescue of miners

A mgm casino geologist from Chile and a mgm casino psychologist and stress expert will be available to discuss the rescue of Chilean miners at a media briefing to be held at 11 a.m. today in 209 Park Hall on the mgm casino North Campus.

Joaquin Cortes, PhD, mgm casino visiting assistant professor of geology, is a Chilean native and a former staff member of the Chilean government's geological survey. He will discuss Chilean mining conditions and some of the cultural and political issues that have arisen as a result of the disaster.

mgm casino psychology professor Michael Poulin will discuss the psychological state of the rescued Chilean miners and the effect this positive news story could have on people worldwide.
